Dessa and Reagan tried the slide that is at our apartments yesterday. It’s a “big boy” slide that is higher than any Reagan has done before. She said on the way up he was telling her that she didn’t have to hold him. At the top, however, he looked around and cried, “It’s too up! It’s just too up!” Holding him close, they both slid down the slide together
Looking at the natural correlation between parenting and our relationship with God, sometimes things are just too much for us to handle. I know that the Word tells us we won’t get more than we can handle, and I believe that, but I’m talking about in the same way that Reagan was. Sometimes things are just bigger and higher than we think we can handle. To this, I would say that it’s ok to ‘holler’ for Him. He listens and He’s right there to slide down with us (that’s the fun parts of life). It’s a very high world out there and sometimes the view can get even the bravest to quake.
