7 Random Facts About Me

At the behest of my wife, after she read a similar post on our friend Renee’s blog, I am writing these 7 random facts about myself.

  1. I was once a member of a black gospel choir. (If you’ve never seen me, you can’t appreciate the humor in this. Just think overweight white guy with NO moves.
  2. When stressed at work, I listen to classical music in my office.
  3. Way back when I had the time, I could easily read for 12-13 straight hours (with bathroom breaks) and be upset that I had to stop.
  4. By the time I had graduated high school, I had switched schools 22 times. All within the same rural county.
  5. I’ve eaten biscuits and gravy in almost every state in the union. (My wife made fun of me for saying “in the union”. Will you mock me too, oh audience of mine?)
  6. My Papaw  sang with Dolly Parton.
  7. I drive slow.  And if I get to thinking about something, I start slowing down even more.

  1. I listen to classical as well when I’m stressed or just generally need a peaceful feeling around me. I also could read 12-13 straight hours. In fact, that’s one of the very reasons that I don’t read much now…that combined with the overwhelming need to finish the book in one swell read. With little attention paid to the things and/or people around me. Thomas complained greatly about this when we first got married. So that habit was put away for laundry and housework. Bought two books to zone with this week, though.

And, YES, you drive REALLLLLY slow. Thomas and I laugh about scaring you every time we get on Briley behind you going much faster than you go. :)

And ….what’s up with the ‘union’, lol!
