Last night I watched Vanderbilt battle USA into double overtime. Decked in their red, white, and blue, the University of South Alabama made it more than just a game by leading most of the night until Vandy came back close to the end. Me and my friend Marty got some free tickets from a guy at work, then we begged our wives to let us go on less than a day’s notice
Being late and not knowing where to park is not a good combination. We ended up having to run quite a ways. As you can see, Marty quickly drew ahead and left me in his dust.
Memorial Gym, built in the 50’s, is pretty cool. However, the benches left us wanting for comfort. After a while, Marty and I were standing up with the crowd just so we could stretch a bit.
Marty spent $4 for this cup of coke. He said it was a souvenir. I saved the money and just took a picture.
A.J. Olgivy (spelling?), Vandy’s super freshman from Australia. He’s really good.
