It has been a long, but good week. On the work front, I’ve had a blast learning everything, even if my brain does feel like mush when I get home. I thought that I knew a good bit about computers before I started at ReMedPar, but now I realize how little I really did know. After 2 years at a job that was doing the same things over and over, it is really nice to have a good challenge.
On the home front, I am missing my wife. Her and some members of the New Life Drama Team and the Sign Team went to the C.O.D.E. Drama Conference in Indiana. They left on Thursday, so I haven’t been too long without her, but when you’re accustomed to having someone beside you all the time, life just isn’t right when they’re not there. I’ve heard men speak about needing time away from their wives, or saying that they are happy when they can be away. I can’t say that I agree with them on that regard. I enjoy time to myself, but if I had to choose, I would much rather have Dessa around. After 3 years of marriage, she is more my best friend today than she was then.
Another cool thing that happened this week is that my dad visited again and this time he brought my niece and nephew, Lyndsey and Jaydan. They’ve been wanting to visit all summer. Reagan went nuts playing with them. Whenever one of them would walk out of his room, he would yell, “Come Here…!”.
Now, today we’ve got a lot to do before Dessa gets home tonight. This morning I’ve got to get some work done, and then we’ve got a birthday party later.
