My new baby’s first ultrasound. This was taken several weeks ago, and the baby was approximately 6 weeks old at the time. Going in and hearing the baby’s heartbeat absolutely changed my perception of this pregnancy. Where it was a bit surreal, it has definitely passed into the realm of real now. I’m both more excited and more nervous. Obviously, we couldn’t find out the gender, but we did find out that it should only be one baby, instead of 2 or 3 that was a good possibility considering Dessa’s family and how many twins they have down both sides.
